Botanical Interests Bean Bush Blue Lake 274 Organic

An old favorite. The organic Blue Lake Pole beans have beany sweet flavor. They are fiberless and meaty. Some people say that pole beans have better flavor than bush beans. If this is so, Blue lake would support that suggestion. Outstanding flavor combined with high yields make growing these vigorous 5'-6' vines worth the time. Excellent canned, frozen, or eaten fresh. It is a white seeded variety that is Mosaic virus resistant. See inside packet for instructions on how to build a bean tepee---fun for kids!

When to plant outside: RECOMMENDED. Sow in spring, after average last frost. If the weather is cold and wet, wait for warmer weather. Note: In very hot summer areas such as the south and southwest, plant in March for June harvest and in August for late September harvest.

When to start inside: Not recommended.
